Uniform Update from 2026

We are excited to share with you that our full school uniform is now available via NZUniforms both online and in their physical store located at 19A Douglas Alexander Parade, Rosedale, Albany. 

Their hours are Monday · Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm, as well as being open on Saturday, 9:00am – 4:00pm.  We hope that this move allows you to plan your uniform purchases for 2026 with a lot more flexibility than previously provided. For more information, please read the attached letter.

Greenhithe School Uniform Guidelines

🏷️ Essential Actions Required

• Name everything: All uniform items must be clearly named.
• Keep it tidy: The uniform must always be clean and worn in a presentable manner.
• Get written confirmation (if applicable): If your child wears jewellery for medical, religious, or cultural reasons, you may be asked to provide written confirmation to the principal.

🎒 Required Uniform Items

To meet the compulsory daily dress code, students need:

1. Approved Tops & Bottoms

• Logo Tops: Polo shirts, polar fleeces, or long-sleeved tops, jackets featuring the Greenhithe School logo.
• Navy Bottoms: School-specific long pants, shorts, or skorts. Any other items must be plain navy blue only; jeans are not allowed.

2. Footwear & Socks

• Shoes: Plain black or white shoes only. If they are not fully enclosed, they must have a back strap.
• Socks/Stockings: Plain black, navy, or white.

3. Seasonal & Event Wear

• Terms 1 & 4 Hat: A bucket-style hat with a brim and the school logo is mandatory for outdoor wear during these terms.
• Jacket: A Greenhithe School logo jacket is available to wear during the school day.
• Layers: Any visible under-layers or winter accessories (like thermal tops) must be plain navy blue.
• Sports Uniform: Required only when representing the school at sporting events (not for everyday classroom wear).

❌ What to Leave at Home

Unless the principal grants a specific exception, ensure your child does not wear:

• Jewellery: No jewellery is permitted except for plain ear studs or sleepers.
• Grooming/Extras: Makeup, nail extensions, hair extensions, non-uniform coloured hair accessories, and dress-up items are not allowed.
