Inquiry

At Greenhithe School, we strive for our learners to become active knowledge seekers, thinkers and reflectors. All students are engaged in motivational, purposeful, rich and relevant learning. They learn strategies for thinking, cooperating, researching and communicating by using our inquiry model of ‘Get it- Sort it- Use it’. Students develop the skills to ask questions, and the ability to seek the answers to their questions. Inquiry learning is integrated across the curriculum, further strengthening literacy and mathematics skills. Through the inquiry process, students have opportunities to pursue questions and personal interests in areas such as science, social science and technology. This ensures high motivation and engagement of our learners, as students become empowered in their own personal learning journey.
