The year 3 children had a lovely day for their swimming display day. It does take that extra time to plan, prepare for and run these events, so we thank you for your support. The children who represented us at interschool swimming once again did us proud. We will see less swimming happening during class time as the weather cools off.
We had a great turn out of family for our Whānau open afternoon. The children really enjoy sharing their learning and classroom environment with you. Thank you for your time. We continue to evaluate these events; the time that they are held, and the way they are run. We encourage your feedback by an email or suggestion sent through to the office.
Pride Values at Greenhithe School
Our PRIDE values: Perseverance, Resilience, Initiative, Diligence and Excellence are important learning opportunities. Have a discussion at home about why these are important and how they can also be shown in a family setting. A large part of the learning at primary school focuses around how we learn to manage ourselves in different situations and how we can develop a strong, resilient, positive outlook throughout our everyday experiences.
The following children have been awarded certificates: Leixi Yang, Liam Palen, Rocco Slade, Benji Gunston, Donghyeop Shin, Danielle Crohn, Nick Zhao, Amber Chang
Younger Siblings
If you have any children, or know of any local children, who will be turning 5 this year and starting at Greenhithe School, please could you visit our website and fill out an enrollment form. This helps us to align upcoming classes in advance. We are also happy to take enrollments for 2026!
Arrival to school
We look forward to the children arriving for the start of the day, usually full of smiles and excitement in meeting up with their friends. Our school gates open at 8:30. Please remind your children to wait at the Isobel Rd gate, the bottom gate or the deck by Maeke’s shed, inside the school grounds off the Greenhithe Road entrance. Teachers appreciate the time in the morning to prepare for the day and /or finish meetings. We thank you for your help in this. Parents are welcome in the classrooms with their children at this time until the 8:45 settling bell.
School drop offs
It is essential to provide a safe environment for all students arriving and leaving school! Our crossings are patrolled to ensure this happens. Please DO NOT STOP ON ANY YELLOW LINES around the school on either Isobel Rd or Greenhithe Rd. This not only impares the vision of our patrollers and can block the entrance to our staff car park, but is also illegal. Please help keep our community safe by using the drop off area on Sunnyview Rd in the mornings, ensuring you stop on the right side of the cones to allow for a safe pedestrian area for our children.
School Donations and Activity Contributions
Thank you to those who have already paid their school contribution, it is most appreciated, and helps us plan great opportunities for our students.
Our 2025 contribution requests remain unchanged from last year and are as follows:
School Donation – $55 per term or $220 for the whole school year. The amount for 3rd or subsequent children will remain at $37.50 per term or $150 for the whole school year.
Classroom Activity Contributions – $40 per term or $160 for the whole school year.
Kindo is our preferred method for all your school payments. If you are a new family to Greenhithe School or you were unable to set an account up last year, please find all the information you need on our school website.
